The Evaporative Cooling Institute (ECI) is organized as a nonprofit institution
to advance the art and science of evaporative air cooling and air-conditioning.
The ECI seeks to expand international use of evaporative apparatus by
promoting the technology and industry; collecting and publishing information
on applying, installing, operating and maintaining evaporative systems;
promulgating codes, standards and certification standards, and certification
programs; identifying and encouraging research; and by maintaining contact
with related trade associations, professional societies, government agencies,
and customers. The ECI provides services to members by reporting appropriate
statistical data and other matters of interest.
Membership of the ECI is open to manufacturers of evaporative apparatus;
designers, specifiers, and users of heating, ventilating and air-conditioning
systems; sales representatives; representatives of institutes of learning
and governmental agencies; and other interested parties.
Joining and becoming actively involved in the ECI is the best way to keep
abreast of the latest developments in the ever changing world of cooling.
